02 — Capital
We invest in what we can see clearly.
Jirisan Investments deploys the company’s own balance sheet across four related areas: artificial intelligence and deep technology, broader technology businesses, digital assets, and real-world assets — principally property and listed equities.
Where we put capital
Four areas, one underlying bet.
Computation is becoming a metered industrial input, like electricity before it. That single idea connects everything below — the companies that build it, the assets that settle on it, and the physical estate that houses it.
AI & deep technology
Early and growth positions in companies building at the model, tooling and infrastructure layers — with a strong preference for businesses whose economics we can verify from operating experience rather than from a deck.
Technology
Software and infrastructure businesses beyond AI: enterprise platforms, data centre and connectivity services, and regional technology operators serving Southeast Asian markets.
Digital assets
Long-horizon positions in major digital assets and the infrastructure around them, held through custody arrangements we control. Sized to be survivable through a full drawdown, because that is the only way to hold them.
Real-world assets
Malaysian property, with a bias toward industrial and commercial stock in the Klang Valley corridor, alongside a portfolio of listed equities held for yield and long-term compounding.
How we work
Concentrated, patient, and close to the operating reality.
Principles
- Own capital only. We invest the company’s balance sheet. There is no external fund, no management fee and no redemption calendar dictating our decisions.
- Few positions, understood deeply. We would rather hold a small number of things we can explain in detail than a diversified book we cannot.
- Years, not quarters. The holding period we underwrite to is measured in years. Illiquidity is a cost we are usually willing to pay.
- Operating proximity. Running a compute-infrastructure product means we see the same market from the inside. We weight that heavily and stay away from sectors where we have no such edge.
What we avoid
- Anything requiring us to predict short-term price movement
- Structures we cannot model, or custody we do not control
- Positions sized such that a total loss would be material to the group
- Sectors where our only informational advantage is enthusiasm
The two halves of Jirisan are not separate accidents. Building observability for GPU fleets puts us inside the economics of compute every working day — what utilisation really looks like, where capacity is stranded, what a GPU-hour actually costs to produce. That is the same question the market is trying to price.

If there is a fit, tell us.
We are open to correspondence from founders, operators and co-investors working in the areas above — particularly in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.
